New Bridge Construction Project Over the Kelani River” spreads over 3.0km as an elevated road construction project, in between Orugodawatta and Ingurukade Junction. The construction period is 36 months & the project is funding by JICA (Japan International Cooperating Agency Loan). The project includes, construction of 500 cast in-situ bored piles, 50 steel and concrete piers, 7,000m3 concrete pile caps, 16,850 m3 “U” shape retaining walls & decking slabs and all other related specialized works in bridge construction.
